Mitsubishi Will Continue The Development On The New Generation Lancer
In fact, Mitsubishi has stopped production of their Mitsubishi Lancer Series. The super sports car sedan began stop production in 2013 ago. I wonder what the underlying reason Mitsubishi stopped production of the car. According to the source circulating say if the lack of a partner to be one of the main reasons they stopped the production of the legendary car. Since it was first launched in 1973, and since that time the car is sold over 6 million units by the last time in last year’s production. Depending on the market, Lancer was sold under different names, ranging from Dodge Colt (first generation) in the United States and up to Galant Fortis (current generation) on the Japanese one.
Japanese company is called to develop the latest generation of the Lancer. But first, Mitsubishi will be seeking partners.
However, before the official release of the latest-generation model of the Lancer, a number of pictures the next Lancer also appear. One of these designs created one of the students that Enoch Gonzales.
Reported Worldcarfans, Sunday, June 21, 2015, in its view, this project shows Lancer slightly larger and more aggressive than they are now. A number of clear lines highlighted that appear more aggressive.
Not to mention on the front that looks wide. Where the light is more narrow and merges with the front grill. Not to forget that the luxury impressed the side chrome grille has also been wrapped.
Executive President of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Don Swearingen also had stated, the latest Lancer will be available in June 2015. But apparently the latest generation of this new Lancer will slide at least another year.
On the other hand topspeed.com few days ago issued their opinion regarding the introduction and brief details of the car, and here are quote the contents of their opinion :
Mitsubishi announced details on the 2015 Lancer which comes with quite an impressive number of updates and new features. As usual, Mitsubishi focused its attention on upgrading the Lancer’s safety, so for the 2015 model the sedan was updated with an advanced, seven air bag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) that offers the best protection for both front and rear passengers. Also, all models will get new heated side view mirrors with turn indicators and a slew of new, standard features.
