A jet turbine, perhaps? Well, what about the four-cylinder engine? Yes, it’s true: The completely redesigned 2015 Mustang can be had with a four banger under the long, proud hood. But before you fire off angry e-mail or tweet to Ford, you should know a few things. First: muscular V8 is still available, such as V6. And second: this EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder, and it is anything but weak.
2015 Ford Mustang Performance and Engine
A 3.7-liter V6 engine with 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque is standard on the base Mustang. The EcoBoost turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder has a packaging machine 310 hp and 320 lb-ft. GT offers a 5.0-liter V8 boasting 435 hp and 400 lb-ft. (Note that they are output to the EcoBoost and V8 reflect the use of premium gasoline.) Each engine can be paired to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
EPA fuel economy estimates stand at 26 mpg combined (22 city / 31 highway) for the EcoBoost with the manual. With automatic, EcoBoost numbers are 25 mpg combined (21 city / 32 highway). User level V6 21 mpg combined (17/28) while the automatic version level 22 combined (19/28). Manual V8 produces estimates of 19 mpg combined (15/25) while the automatic is the same but with a 1 mpg better in the city.
2015 Ford Mustang Safety Feature
Standard safety features for all 2015 Ford Mustang including ABS disc brakes, traction and stability control, rearview camera, front seat side airbags, side curtain airbags (coupe only) and a driver’s knee airbag. Also standard Ford MyKey system (which allows owners to limit speed and audio volume level for young drivers) and, for manual transmission models, hill-start assist. Optional on the “Premium” trim level and standard on the Limited Edition 50 is a blind spot and cross-traffic alert system.

Depending on trim level, even high-end luxuries such as adaptive cruise control and heated and ventilated front seats may have. The quality of materials is generally increased, and the drivers of all sizes should be able to get more comfortable behind the wheel of the latest Mustang, such as wheels which now has a telescoping feature in addition to tilt adjustments.
There are shades wider Mustang in 2015, thanks to the less imposing new car dashboard and center console slimmer. Overcoming contoured steering wheel and neater size means it is better to use than the old-school wheels and soft elbow pad on the console adds to the comfort of the cockpit. Gauges are significantly easier to read than the previous setup, and they do not reflect on the inside of the windscreen as the old. Outward visibility is better than the Camaro or Challenger, although the thick rear roof pillars blocking everything on your shoulders. Fortunately, all Mustang comes with a backup camera as standard equipment, and a blind-spot monitoring system available.
